Jeremy Clarkson is to sit alongside radio industry people to judge this year’s Demo Factor at the Student Radio Conference in Exeter.
To add new flavour to the Student Radio Conference’s annual showcase of radio demos, Jeremy Clarkson will be sitting alongside BBC Radio 1’s Jocelin Stainer, Absolute Radio’s Paul Sylvester and Vicki Blight, Capital Xtra’s Rob Watson, and Demo Factor’s ‘Mr Nasty’, Chris North.
According to his people, Clarkson will be bringing his “trademark brutal reviewing technique” to the radio students of the UK.
A spokesperson for the SRA said, “We’re looking forward to Clarkson joining the panel. We’ve been looking for someone to rival Chris North’s charm, and I think this year we’ve done it. It’s certainly going to be #DevonOrHell!”
Clarkson’s experience of radio includes performing as a public schoolboy in a BBC radio adaptation of Anthony Buckeridge’s Jennings novels until his voice broke.
Demo Factor is part of the Student Radio Conference, held at University Of Exeter from 20th to 22nd April 2015.
