Terry Wogan To Speak At #SRACon

Veteran BBC radio and TV presenter, Terry Wogan, is to speak at the National Student Radio Conference in Exeter.

Wogan (76), famous for his presenting style since the 1960s on BBC TV and radio programmes, will be speaking on his long career.

It’s expected that he will cover highlights such as the time he messed up a Eurovision announcement, when he visited Top Gear and was the slowest person in the ‘reasonably priced car’ and in 2010 when he made a cameo in BBC Three’s Being Human.

Callum Farmer, SRA Midlands Regional Officer, has been campaigning to get Wogan at the conference for a few years. Of the announcement he commented, “I’ll be honest with you, I’m very much looking forward to #SRACon in a few weeks, I’m not looking forward to the 5 hour train journey though.”

Wogan is joining other keynote speakers such as Stephanie Hirst, Greg James and Clara Amfo at the University of Exeter.

Last month we reported that Jeremy Clarkson will be joining the Demo Factor panel.
