Bauer have announced that they will be launching a new Absolute station later this month; Absolute Naughties.
The new Absolute station will only play songs with swear words in them and will cover the content of all it’s sister stations; Absolute Radio, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and Classic Rock.
A spokesman for Absolute said, “We’re really excited for the launch of our 8th station. Naughties will titillate listeners with brilliant music and exclusive content.”
In addition to songs with swear words in them, all the “naughty bits” from the Christian O’Connell, Frank Skinner and Geoff Lloyd shows that can’t be aired, will be recorded separately and broadcast exclusively on Naughties.
Annabell Port, co-presenter to Geoff Lloyd, revealed what we might hear from the Hometime Show on Naughties; “Geoff comes up with some filthy stuff. Most of the time we manage to keep it off the air, but now we’ll have the chance to really let rip with great, dirty features on Absolute Naughties.”
Absolute Naughties will be available on AM, online and via the UK Radioplayer apps.
When queried about why the station will be available on AM but not DAB or FM, a spokesman told RadiAubergine, “No-one gives a f**k about AM anymore, so we can broadcast whatever we want.”
In unrelated news, OFCOM has launched an investigation into Absolute Radio as they may have breached their broadcasting licence.
